In this article, we highlight other factors that should be considered in evaluating the efficiency of the Romanian fiscal system and the measures Romanian tax authorities could take for economic recovery.

In our opinion, Romanian taxpayers do not sufficiently benefit from their rights under community law, especially considering that 2009 is the third year since accession.This article questions whether Romanian companies are aware that over 90% of the tax cases referred to the European Court of Justice are won by taxpayers.
